Terms of Service

1. The Service

ThoughtSpace is a personal productivity tool operated by Unidentified Tech, a sole trader based in New Zealand. The Service allows users to capture thoughts, extract tasks using AI, and manage reminders. The Service is provided "as is" and we reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue it at any time.

2. Accounts

To use ThoughtSpace you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your credentials and all activity under your account. You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account.

3. Free tier and paid plans

• Free — 3 AI assistant runs per day and 10 Google Calendar pushes per day. No charge
• Pro — Unlimited AI assistant runs and calendar pushes. Billed monthly at the rate displayed at checkout. Renews automatically until cancelled
• Lifetime — One-time payment for unlimited access forever, plus the ability to use your own Groq API key

Prices are displayed in USD. Your bank or card provider may apply currency conversion fees.

4. Payments and refunds

All payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your card details.

• Pro subscriptions — billed monthly. Cancel anytime via the customer portal. Access continues until end of current billing period. No partial refunds for unused time
• Lifetime — a one-time payment. Due to the nature of digital products, Lifetime purchases are non-refundable except where required by New Zealand consumer law
• Failed payments — if a Pro payment fails, your account will be automatically downgraded to the free tier. Your data is never deleted due to a payment failure

5. Your content

You retain full ownership of all notes, tasks, and content you create in ThoughtSpace. We do not use your content for advertising, AI training, or any purpose other than operating the Service.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use ThoughtSpace to store illegal content, attempt to access other users' accounts, reverse engineer the Service, or circumvent usage limits.

7. AI features

The AI assistant is powered by Groq's API. AI-generated content may not always be accurate — you are responsible for reviewing any tasks or suggestions generated. Your note content is sent to Groq only when you run the assistant and is not retained after processing.

8. Availability

We aim to keep ThoughtSpace available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service depends on third-party infrastructure including Google Firebase, Cloudflare, and Groq.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by New Zealand law, Unidentified Tech is not liable for loss of data, indirect damages, actions taken based on AI-generated content, or service interruptions caused by third-party providers. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to any claim.

10. Termination

You may delete your account at any time by contacting unidentifiedtechxpert@gmail.com. We will remove your data within 30 days.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.
